Ricoh Asia Pacific, Ricoh's regional sales headquarters for Asia Pacific, announced on October 2 the opening of a new office in Malaysia, Ricoh Business Services Asia Pacific (RBS). RBS will be responsible for accelerating DX-related initiatives and enhancing the quality of services provided to customers and stakeholders as Ricoh's core shared services center.

The company explained that RBS "will centralize key functions such as IT, finance, human resources, and supply chain management, enabling streamlined processes and increased efficiency throughout the Southeast Asia region. It will also "create skilled jobs for Malaysian professionals, provide opportunities for skills development, and positively impact the regional economy," he added. The company cited Malaysia's location in the heart of Southeast Asia, its ties to key markets in the region, its robust infrastructure and highly skilled workforce, and its government supportive policies that encourage foreign investment as reasons for choosing the country as its base of operations.
