Nokia and Telefonica Sign Three-Year Agreement for Local 5G Promotion in Spain

Finland's Nokia recently announced a three-year agreement with local telecommunications giant Telefonica to develop the local 5G market in Spain. Through this collaboration, the two companies aim to improve productivity, worker safety, and sustainability in key industries such as ports, manufacturing, and logistics.

With this agreement, Nokia will deploy advanced solutions in Spain, including local wireless solutions Digital Automation Cloud (DAC) and Modular Private Wireless (MPW), edge solutions Mission Critical Industrial Edge (MXIE), and industrial devices. Note that Nokia also partnered with Telefonica in June 2023 to provide private LTE/local 5G solutions in the Latin American region.
