Koichiro Fujimoto, Technology Evangelist, Senior Business Manager, Digital Network Division, NEC Corporation

Various success stories have been reported in the field of industrial and manufacturing technology, i.e., 5G in factories and local 5G. What they all have in common is that "the on-site sensation that can be felt only by moving hands is upgraded by wireless technology, and an overwhelming sense of live performance can be enjoyed. In this session, we will hear reports from NEC, NTT East, and the University of Tokyo on their respective case studies and discuss them with you.

There is actually a common thread between the value that can be seen through the use of wireless in manufacturing and the benefits of using local 5G for live coverage on the golf course. It is "the value created by the unique live-feeling of 5G/local 5G. In addition, what is important here is the coupling of cutting-edge technologies that are (at first glance) unrelated to 5G. NEC has succeeded in producing cutting-edge results by successfully mixing robot control technology, quantum annealing technology, and 5G's unique live experience. This workshop will introduce various cutting-edge examples from NEC, NTT East, and the University of Tokyo, and discuss the prospects for local 5G/6G that can be seen from these examples.
